RIP Guru- 1 Year Ago We Lost A Hip-Hop Great

A year ago today, Keith Elam, known as the rapper Guru of Gang Starr, lost his battle with cancer at the age of 43.
Keith Glam began his rap career under the name Mc Keithy E but later changed it to Guru. Guru stands for: Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal or the lesser used, God is Universal; he is the Ruler Universal. Guru was such an influential hip-hop artists that had a sound combining his easy flowing rap with elements of jazz and funk. Although Gang Starr spilt in 2003 with his partner DJ Premier, they will long be remembered for singles like “Mass Appeal,” “Moment of Truth” and “Above the Clouds.”
