Last night Jeezy hosted the NYC screening of his documentary, “A Hustlerz Ambition,” at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema Theatre…the rapper introduced his new movie to a room full of the cool kids of hip-hop (Vado, Sway, Elliot Wilson, LowKey, A$AP Rocky, Adrienne Bailon, and more)
“A Hustlerz Ambition,” is directed by Chris Robinson, and shows his fans the life of Jay “Young Jeezy” Jenkins’ life up to the making of his upcoming and LONG awaited album, “Thug Motivation103: Hustlerz Ambition,” and it didn’t help that it was narrated by Samuel L. Jackson.
If you don’t respect the snowman after watching this movie, I don’t know what an artist could do to earn your respect. The documentary was taped over 3 years, it covers Jeezy’s family, how he got into the drug game, tragedy, money, strip clubs, and music. The best line had to be when Jeezy decided to get in the booth…in his studio that he bought with cash….no big deal.
It was definitely a dope movie and I walked out feeling like I understood and respected him and his music much better (oh and thanks for the open bar Kettle One Jeez)
